In 2006, the Environmental Department of EDELCA (a Venezuelan Government body) commissioned Adames to rescue the lost chants of one of the remaining Venezuelan aboriginal communities: the Pemon Indians who inhabit in Canaima and the Gran Sabana grasslands. This project was called 'Encuentro'.

As a result Adames produced the first of a series of CDs, in which he combined the chants with his own contemporary music and work of pictures and video art.
